This 5 piece dining set was built by a guild of Amish located in Ohio. Every inch of the set is solid wood, no veneer of any sort. The table top and chair seats are made of elm, which has a beautiful pheasant-feather pattern to it. The table base and chair bases are created out of maple wood. All surfaces are finalized with a clear topcoat called a "catalyzed varnish" which keeps moisture from damaging the finish. This means you will never have a water ring from forgotten dishes left on the table. Guaranteed.
